The sun goes down lovingly beneath the sky, and
A soft zephyr carries along the grains of sand
A revolutionnary whim takes gently my hand
And drives me slowly to Never-never land
As the sea waves rush at the rocks in the shore
Memories go back to the childhood days of yore
Whence uphoria lied in the simple things now we ignore
No matter how much we get, we'll want to get more
I never knew why the castles of sand I ever built around
The swamp have always crumbled to the ground
But later I understood that it was just bound
To happen; that sooner or later they'd pound
The birds are singing serenades and a freedom song
Careless, united, devouring the skies and singing along
Reminding me of that innocence we had when we were young
Let's hold our hands, the winter of our lives won't be long
Now the rain begins to fall and the view becomes grey
The birds kept off singing, and flew farther away
For a better weather and even the ships are sailing away
And all of that empathy and blissfulness went astray
And I found myself left alone in silence again
But strong enough to do not yield to pain
The tempest is coming down in sheets upon my brain
But I don't mind, I'm still singing under the rain
The sea waves still rush at the rocks in the shore
And my child within came across me and gave me an anchor
Making me feel uphoria in the things I used to ignore
Telling me to seize my day, never asking for more
